Palm Centro - Lost EVERYTHING ~Read~
I've had the Ivory Palm Centro for about two months now. And I constantly use it. Either, SMS messaging, or using Ptunes.
While using my phone, I've noticed that it sometimes restarts [reboots] itself (turning off, then coming back on with the Palm logo with the loading bar then going to the 'Access Powered' screen). I thought nothing of it.
Last night, out with some friends, I realized that it kept rebooting itself (around 4 times from 7PM to around midnight). Again, I thought nothing of it.
Then, this morning I realized my battery was low, so quickly I plug it in. Only to look down 30 minutes later to realize that the phone was off, and the red light as off. So, hesitantly I picked it up, pressed the power button to see why it was not charging. As I did so, it rebooted and then after the reboot, I got a text message from one of my friends. [I knew the number, but questioned WHY it was not saved under her name]. As I replied to it, I then went back into the Messaging [Text] home. Where, I noticed every single one of my text messages [over 2 thousand text messages] are gone. I then looked through my phone, and realized NOTHING was on my phone. [Well, other than what was on my 4GB expansion MicroSD card]
So, I'm questioning. Is it a PHONE itself problem, or a problem with the SIMcard?
I have all my contacts saved onto my PalmDesktop [as they have been since I got my Palm PDA back in January of '07].
